Important!!! Please note that T-Ball players and 6 year old Baseball  & Softball Players DO NOT assess.

Baseball (7 and up) and Softball players (6 yr olds and up) need to assess.  If you have players that are borderline ages for Divisions (7 year olds Rookie/Farm, 8 year olds Farm/Minor, 10 year olds Minor/Major, and 12 year olds Majors/Intermediate), they will need to attend if they wish to potentially make the highest division possible.

Our 2019 Assessments will be located at Rex Putnam High School (4950 SE Roethe Rd, Milwaukie OR 97267). February 17th in the Gyms. March 3rd held in the hitting facility. In addition to assessments we will have board members on site verifying league documentation (proof of residency and birth certificates). For more information on those documents, please contact us directly at [email protected]

Assessment #1: February 17th

Assessment #2: March 3rd

Important Items to Know:

  • To ensure that we have your player on our printed assessment sheets, we ask that you have the player registered no later than the Thursday before the Sunday Assessment.  We can NOT guarantee that walk-ins day of will be included to assess due to high volume. Online registration will be turned off for divisions above Tee Ball during assessment weekends.
  • Assessments are vital for the league in determining proper placement of players at their respective levels. As well Minor teams and above use the assessment process for drafting players.
  • Players are welcome to attend BOTH assessment sessions.
  •  If a player does NOT attend either assessment session, they will be blind drafted (Minors level and above).
  • For players that are on the borderline age for two different divisions (Farm/Rookie division is the most critical);  missed assessment sessions will most likely keep them at the lower level available.

    How Assessment Time Blocks Work:

First, PLEASE make sure you verify your child's "league age" by clicking/viewing the Little League Age Charts below:

    Baseball Age Chart

    Softball Age Chart

Please know that we run Assessments in groups. We try to keep our groups to about 15-20 minute increments. EXAMPLE: So we'd start our first 9/10 year old group at 1 pm. We would then start our second group at 1:15-1:20.  All 9 and 10 year olds are assessed in the time frame of 1 pm to 4 pm that day. Often the time groups are split in half by first letter of last name. A-Q goes in the first 90 block. R-Z goes in the final 90 minute block.

So on and so forth. So per our Assessment Schedule we list full range of time for age groups w/ last name. Rather than pin point specifically on our individual assessment start times, since we can not be 100% accurate on how long or short an assessment group may run.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Thank you,
